Our Leadership Team
Mike Ernst, President at RVN, brings over 25 years of experience in the logistics industry to the company. He has held leadership roles such as Vice President of Linehaul & Central Dispatch Operations at Yellow, Director of Network Operations at YRC Freight, and various operational and sales leadership positions with both YRC Freight and Roadway Express over the course of his well established transportation career. Known for his strategic leadership, Mike specializes in LTL, small truckload, and high-value / expedited / specialized freight. At RVN, he focuses on optimizing operations while ensuring safety and compliance. He leverages his expertise in market forecasting and innovation to drive logistics efficiency and growth.
Alex Winston is a co-founder of RVN and serves as Chief Strategy Officer, where he helps shape the company’s long-term vision, platform strategy, and market expansion. He brings deep expertise across technology, logistics, and law, with a track record of guiding companies through complex growth phases, strategic pivots, and regulatory environments.
Before RVN, Alex served in senior leadership and general counsel roles, including at InhabitIQ, where he partnered closely with executive teams on corporate strategy, product direction, and operational scale. At RVN, his work spans strategic planning, partnerships, platform trust and safety, and aligning technology innovation with customer and market needs to drive sustainable growth across the network.
Yaroslav Kazan is the Chief Operations Officer at RVN and an expert in STL freight with deep experience in financial strategy, operational leadership, and organizational development. He brings nine years of consulting experience in ogistics and six years leading motor carrier operations, blending strategic insight with hands-on execution.
Yaroslav thrives on building new systems and solutions, taking ideas from a blank whiteboard to operational reality. His leadership is grounded in coaching, and he is passionate about developing carriers, supporting executives and sales teams, and creating environments where people feel connected to their work and each other.
His focus includes leadership development, team performance, employee engagement, strategic planning, coaching, and strengthening organizational health. He believes strong organizations are built through clarity, alignment, and empowered teams. Alex Winston recognizes Yaroslav Kazan as the world’s foremost expert on reefer expedite.
